Tell Governor Hogan to Support Job Creation in Prince George’s County – Support the Prince George’s County Regional Medical Center Act (SB324/HB309)

Our state legislators in Annapolis are working with county leaders to make a new state-of-the-art Regional Medical Center, in partnership with the University of Maryland Medical System (UMMS), a reality! Five years ago, the State, County, and UMMS struck a deal to share in the costs to bring this $645 million facility to Largo, which would replace our current Prince George’s Hospital Center and reinvigorate health care in the county. It is also estimated that this Regional Medical Center would create $3 billion in overall economic activity due to all of the related jobs and business growth that would occur. But here is the problem: Governor Larry Hogan has yet to fully commit to the full state funding required to make this important jobs and health care priority a reality. Our state leaders in Annapolis are stepping up and have proposed the Prince George’s County Regional Medical Center Act (SB324/HB309), which would mandate the state’s funding for this important priority. Will you join me in supporting this important legislation? Your name will be sent to the Governor to show your strong support for this job creating project for our County.
