Council Chairman Franklin to Host Sponsor Oct. 31 Domestic Violence Prayer Breakfast feat. Senate Chaplain Barry C. Black

October is domestic violence awareness month and I am pleased to be the Host Sponsor of “What’s Going On: Setting Your House in Order,” feat. U.S. Senate Chaplain Barry C. Black, a Prayer Breakfast, Colony South Hotel, 7401 Surratts Rd., Clinton, MD 20735, Sat., Oct. 31, 9AM-12PM, sponsored by Still I Rise, Inc. to raise awareness and funds for a new shelter for domestic violence survivors in South County.  The tickets are $50 per person.  For advanced tickets, please contact Dr. Glenda F. Hodges at glendafhodges@stillirisemd.org.  It has been my privilege to partner with Still I Rise, Inc. over the last 5 years in the effort to end domestic violence in our county and improve wellness opportunities for women.  Please join this effort on October 31st. Prince George’s County still leads the state in reported cases of domestic violence.
