Believe it or not, the school year is almost here. My office is sponsoring two important free Back-to-School events for all county students and parents. On Saturday, August 15, 12PM-3PM, in partnership with Victory Chapel Church, we are sponsoring a book bag giveaway and health/wellness fair. The event will be held at Victory Chapel Church, 16401 Manning Rd. W., Accokeek, MD 20607. Then, on Thursday, September 17, 4PM-7PM, at Surrattsville High School (6101 Garden Dr., Clinton, MD 20735), in partnership with Parents Together for Students Organization (PTSO Inc.), we are sponsoring a free college fair for county residents. Approximately one hundred or more colleges and universities will be represented.  Both events are free and open to the public.
