County Executive’s New Education Reform Proposal and District 9 Survey
Our County Executive has proposed an ambitious reform of the Prince George’s County School System. The reform proposal, entitled “Integrated School Governance Proposal for Prince George’s County Public Schools,” makes the County Superintendent a member of the County Executive’s cabinet instead being hired by the Board of Education, while leaving certain responsibilities for academic policy and line-item budget authority with the Board of Education.
